Masters Baby

A question is fertilized,

research starts to grow and develop,

limbs of ideas unfurl tangentially,

a brain increases in volume

months pass

development is incremental,

the structure is there

A due date looms

labour starts for real

adrenaline rushes

“it hurts”

“its exhausting”

“I’m too tired”

“I can’t do this”,

“I don’t know how to do this”,

“I don’t know what I am doing”

Transition time

A pause

“it will be okay”

“you can do this”

“you will do this”.

“you are so nearly there”

One last push….

And a Masters Dissertation is born.

A woman exclaims “NEVER EVER AGAIN!”

A feeling of joyous euphoria as she looks at the perfect bundle of pages in her arms.
